To provide the cake peeling device of a filter press capable of efficiently peeling even a lightweight cake by performing the rising and falling of filter cloth by an air cylinder.

Support bars (12) are inserted in the air cylinders (11) erected on both shoulder parts (5a) of a filter plate (5) to suspend the filter cloth (14) from the support bars (12). At the time of opening of the filter plate, air in the air cylinders (11) is released to lower the support bars (12) at a stroke to allow the support bars (12) to impinge against excitation bars (8). Since the peeling of cake is performed by this impingement, the lowering of the support bars (12) is reliable even with a lightweight cake and even the lightweight cake can be perfectly peeled.
