To provide a diaphragm which is almost free from the possibilities of breakage, a filter plate which can be easily fabricated and a filter press dehydrator with a filtration chamber formed of the diaphragm and the filter plate.
The filter press dehydrator is of the following structure: The diaphragm 20 has a thick-walled part 21 which functions as a filter frame and is molded in one piece with the circumference of a thin-walled part 22 for pressing a stock solution. In addition, on one side surface of the filter press dehydrator, a compression part 31 for compressing the diaphragm 20 is formed between the side surface and an adjacent filter plate and on the other side surface, the filtration chamber 8 which can allow insertion of the diaphragm 20, is formed of the filter plate including a rising part 37 formed with a smaller thickness than the thick-walled part 21. Further, a cake can be obtained by pressing/dehydrating the stock solution through the process to expand the diaphragm 20 by supplying the stock solution to the filtration chamber 8. In this case, the thick-walled part 21 of the diaphragm 20 functions as a sealing surface.
