Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the compression dehydration method and a compression dehydrator of a filter press, by which local production of a high water content cake in a filtration room is eliminated and peeling property of a dehydrated cake is improved.SOLUTION: In the filter press where a stock solution is force-fed and then is dehydrated by compression, local diaphragms 14a, 14b, 14c, and 14d are disposed at the filter bed 11 of a filter plate 5 in a filtration chamber 9 where water content of the cake is high, according to positions of stock solution supply ports 10a, 10b, 10c, and 10d communicating with the filtration chamber 9. Since new force-fed dehydration of high water content stock solution and compression dehydration by an overall diaphragm are unnecessary, dehydration efficiency is greatly improved, dehydration time is greatly shortened, a filtration rate is improved and thereby throughput can be increased.
