Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a small sized filter for removing white blood cells and requiring no priming operation with a physiological saline.
CONSTITUTION: The sat filter for removing blood cells consists of a fiber aggregate, made by surface treating hydrophobic fibers having 1-10μm fiber diameter with a copolymer containing 40-80wt.% glucosyloxyethyl methacrylate and having 0.05-0.25-g/cm3density in a dry state and 20-80% of a space volume of the fiber aggregate is filled with water.
