PURPOSE: To provide a filter for use in exhausting units wherein the adhesion of oil drops and dust to rotary vanes in the unit and inside the units is eliminated by constituting a freely removable filter for use in air-suction ports in exhausting units such as ventilating fans attached in kitchens, etc. by polyolefin open fibers.
CONSTITUTION: Polyolefins constituting a filter 10 include high density polyethylene, low density polyethylene, polypropylene, and copolymers or blend bodies threreof with different components. The filter is composed of an open fiber prepared from the olefins by foaming opening and opening by needle teeth. The filter 10 is set in a frame body 12, and being attached so as to remove freely to a guide 15 provided at the air suction side of a wind passage 14 in a fan 13. Since oil drops and dust in air are trapped by the filter 10, adhesion of oil scarecely occurs at an impeller 16 in the fan 13.
