To provide a filter having excellent dust collection properties, low in pressure loss and excellent in collection efficiency.

The filter is constituted by laminating a sheetlike article (first sheet) having embossed patterns repeating projections or cavities formed thereto and a flat sheetlike article (second sheet). Preferably, the first sheets and the second sheets are alternately laminated and the contact parts of the top parts of the projected parts of the first sheet or the bottom parts of the cavity parts thereof with the second sheet are fused or bonded to form gaps permitting air streams to pass.
