Abstract:
PURPOSE: To protect a filtration basket from corrosion by preventing the basket from being grounded by arranging an insulation material such as a rubber lining at the parts of the basket which come into contact with a container and an outflow pipe.
CONSTITUTION: An insulating material such as a rubber lining is arranged at positions of a filtration basket 1 made of stainless steel which contact a container 2 and an outflow pipe 3. Rubber lining is also applied on the entire inner surface of the container 2 and on both inner and outer surfaces of the outflow pipe 3. In this way, the basket 1 is not grounded by being insulated from the container 2 and the outflow pipe 3 which are grounded. Therefore, no difference in electric potential occurs between the basket and liquid when liquid, seawater in particular, is filtered to maintain the completeness of filtration by preventing corrosion.
