Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the structure of a heater which is capable of heating molten metal without unevennesses between the upper and lower parts and with good thermal efficiency, in the filter of molten metal.
CONSTITUTION: An inlet 3 of molten metal is formed in the upper position of one part of a filter chamber shaped into a square chamber. An upper outlet of molten metal is formed to the upper position of the other part. Filter units 4 having ceramic tubes 7 are provided to the inside of the filter chamber. A group of heaters 12, 13 hung from a cover body 11 is provided in a state wherein these are exposed in the filter chamber and hung therein. Partitions 19, 20 are provided between the exposed and hung heaters 12, 13 and the ceramic tubes 7.
