Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrial-scale filter which exhibits a high filtration efficiency and is capable of easily discharging a residue cake accumulated or stuck on a filter medium.
SOLUTION: This filter is provided with: a shell 20 having upper and lower end faces which are formed as upper and lower opening faces respectively; a filter medium 30 which is placed inside the shell 20 so as to cover each of the upper and lower opening faces of the shell 20 and used for the purpose of separating solid matter in a liquid; a supply port 40 of a filtration raw liquid, which is formed in the side surface of the shell 20; an upper cover 50 which is used for the purpose of covering the upper opening face of the shell 20 and attached to the upper opening face so as to be detachable; a lower cover 60 which is used for the purpose of covering the lower opening face of the shell 20 and attached to the lower opening face so as to be detachable; and two filtrate discharge ports 51 and 61, which are formed in the upper cover 50 and lower cover 60 of the shell 20 respectively and each of which is used for the purpose of discharging a filtrate passed through the filter medium 30.
