To attain a filtering and drying device allowing to automatically take out the whole cake filtered and dried with a nutsche filtering and drying device and besides not to cause progress of clogging of a filter medium.

The belt like filter medium 4 is passed through between a lower surface of a cylindrical and vertical container 1 and an upper surface of a filter plate 3, and a device 5 for moving the filter medium in the longitudinal direction and a device 7 for raising/lowering and cramping the filter plate 3 are installed, thus the filtered and dried cake is lowered downwards together with the filter medium, and conveyed toward a discharge port in company with a movement of the filter medium, and the whole cake 9 on the filter medium can be taken out.
