Abstract:
The present invention provides a filter for electronic display devices, comprising a squarylium compound represented by General Formula (I):

(wherein R 9 represents a halogen atom, an alkyl group optionally having subsutituent(s) and the like; and R 10 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group optionally having subsutituent(s) and the like) and the like, and "n" represents an integer of 0 to 5].
