Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate needs to clean and dispose litter at each time an animal enters/leaves a room by attaching a rake and a holder to an enclosure rotated when the animal enters the room and leaves the room in specified state and separating solid excreta from the litter inside the enclosure. CONSTITUTION: When the animal enters and leaves an enclosure 2, the enclosure 2 is rotated at 360 deg., and a holder 7' is moved from a stand-still position at side of the inner wall of the enclosure 2 to a perpendicular position proximate to the central plane of the enclosure 2. At this position, the holder 7' is mutually operated with a rake 6 for carrying solid excreta 8 collected when passing through a litter 5, and the solid excreta 8 is dropped into the holder 7' by gravity.
