Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously and efficiently filter raw water by easily preventing the clogging of a filter element. SOLUTION: Raw water W is continuously introduced into a casing 1 in which a cylindrical filter element 2 having many through-holes 20 in its peripheral face is provided, and the raw water W is filtered by the element 2 while the raw water W is eddied in the casing 1. In this method, the raw water W is introduced into the casing 1 from a position below the element 2, and the eddies of the raw water W are advanced toward the inside of the element 2 from below the element 2.
