Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filtration equipment using floating filter media which can catch and discharge refuse, such as screen residues, from not only the inflow water of an initial settling basin in sewage but also raw water containing a substantial amount of the screen residues even if pretreatment equipment such as a screen residue dust remover is not disposed and which permits upsizing as well.
SOLUTION: This filtration equipment is formed with a filter medium bed 3 by packing the floating filter media 2 into a horizontally installed cylindrical filter tank 1 and is constituted to supply the raw water from the bottom of the filter tank 1 and takes out the treated water separated by the filter medium bed 3 from the apex of the filter tank 1. A screen 4 of a cylindrical shape is disposed in the lower part of the filter tank 1 and a raw water inlet 6 is opened at the screen 4. Further, a screw conveyor 5 is installed inside the screen 4 and a drain outlet 7 is opened at the screen 4. In the case of the large-sized filter tank 1, a plurality of the raw water inlets 6 and a plurality of the drain outlets 7 are opened in the lower part of the screen 4 to balance the inflow of the raw water.
