To enable improvement of a lift coefficient with a simple structure, by mounting a blade end plate to a blade root end part of the blade, and by increasing negative pressure while decreasing a snake path flow from the blade root side by means of the blade end plate.
A fin stabilizer 1 is so constructed that a blade end plate 2 that has a longer width than that of a blade arc length is mounted to a blade root end part of the blade, and the stabilizer is formed by a rotation axis 3 that is protruded from a hull shell plating 4 in free rotation. By installing this blade end plate 2, a snake path flow from the blade root side can be decreased. As the results, negative pressure can be increased and the lift coefficient is improved by around 3%. Further, the blade end plate can be also mounted to a tip end part of the blade of the fin stabilizer 1. By installing this blade end plate, a snake path flow from the blade tip side can also be decreased. In this way, negative pressure can be increased and the lift coefficient is improved by around 8%.
