Abstract:
PURPOSE:To eliminate the mixing of waste washing water into a plating bath by providing a dumb roll at the outlet side of the final plating bath of a vertical continuous electroplating line and arranging a steel strip washing device close to the outside of the dumb roll. CONSTITUTION:A steel strip S enters the final bath 3 after passing through plural plating baths 1. The steel strip turned upward by a sink roll 31 is horizontally directed by a deflector roll 4 in the final bath 3 and sent to the outside. Immediately after this step, the steel strip S is wiped with a dumb roll 6 to remove the plating soln. and sent to the outside of the plating bath 2. Immediately after leaving the plating bath 2, the front and rear surfaces of the steel strip S are washed by a washing device 7. Since the direction of the plating bath 1 is blocked by the dumb roll 6, the washing liq. is hardly mixed into the plating bath 2.
