Title:
FINDER DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2007333767
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To prevent an information mark such as the index of a focus area from being an obstacle to the observation of a subject in a photographing field area.

The photographing field area 22 of a light emitting display part 16 formed in a finder transmits reflected light from the subject, and is used to observe the subject. Light emitting parts 25A to 25F for displaying the index of the focus area by light emission are provided in the photographing field area 22. The respective light emitting parts 25A to 25F are constituted by holding an organic EL layer formed of organic light emitting material between first and second electrodes. The first and the second electrodes are formed of a transparent electrode. When the photographic optical system of a camera is focused, the respective light emitting parts 25A to 25F stop their light emission, and stop the display of the index of the focus area by light emission. When the display of the index of the focus area by light emission is stopped, information other than the subject is not displayed on the photographing field area 22, so that the observation of the subject is pleasantly performed.
