Title:
FINE-BUBBLE GENERATING APPARATUS IN HULL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010280342
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a fine-bubble generating apparatus in a hull to reduce fluid friction resistance by forming thick water layers including fine bubbles on an immersed surfaces of the hull, using a root pump which can mix a large amount of air in the sucked water.

This generating apparatus includes the root pump 3 in which a pair of two-leaf root motors are mounted to be rotatable by a driving motor as well as an air intake port and a collision member bringing sucked water into collision, which are installed on a pipe line communicating with an intake pipe 45. By operating the root pump 3, water is sucked from a water intake 75 of the hull 71 of the ship 70. Moreover, by bringing the water mixed with air taken in from the air intake port into collision with a collision member, a large amount of bubbles are generated. Further, by means of a compression action by the root pump 3, bubbles are miniaturized and the water including the miniaturized bubbles is blown into water from a discharge port of the hull 71.
