Title:
FINE CELLULOSE COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3423383
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a composition consisting essentially of a fine cellulose and water-soluble gums, etc., being a dried composition convenient for transportation and storage, capable of providing a smooth colloid dispersant by dispersing it into water and useful as a suspension stabilizer, a vegetable fiber, an oil and fat substitute, etc.
CONSTITUTION: This composition is a dried composition composed of (A) ≥20wt.% and <50wt.% fine cellulose (obtained by subjecting, e.g. a cellulose- based raw material such as wood pulp or a purified linter to depolymerization treatment by acid hydrolysis, alkali oxidation decomposition, etc., to afford a cellulose having 30-375 average polymerization degree and then subjecting the cellulose to wet grinding by a wet grinder, etc. such as wet vibration mill) and (B) >50wt.% and ≤80wt.% of water-soluble gums (preferably carboxymethylcellulose sodium, xanthan gum, etc.) and/or a hydrophilic substance (preferably dextrin, xanthan gum, etc.). When the composition is re- dispersed into water, the ratio of particles having ≤8μm and ≥10μm average particle diameters ≤40wt.% and the ratio of colloid fraction is ≥65wt.%.
