Title:
FINE PARTICLE CLASSIFYING DEVICE AND METHOD THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3629512
Kind Code:
B
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a state in which particulate contaminating components being objects of assessment are suspended in a desired atmosphere by removing gaseous contaminating components in a sample gas, in order to enable the assessment of the particulate contaminating components.
SOLUTION: A flow of gas (medium gas) as an atmosphere of fine particles to be sampled is formed, while an electrostatic field is formed transversely cross the flow of gas. A sample gas containing fine particles is passed through a particle charging device and then introduced into a flow passage along the flow of the medium gas from an aerosol flow introducing slit. Being subjected to electrostatic forces, specific fine particles having crossed the flow of the medium gas is delivered from a monodisperse aerosol flow delivery slit together with the medium gas.
