PURPOSE: To provide titled fine particles in which the conjugate metallic oxide of a solute metal is finely and uniformly dispersed by subjecting an alloy obtd. by melting, casting and forging silver and the solute metal to full internal oxidation then grinding the same mechanically.
CONSTITUTION: An alloy obtd. by melting, casting and forging silver and a solute metal which solutionizes the silver and can be internally oxidized is subjected to full internal oxidation to disperse and precipitate finely and uniformly the whole of the above-mentioned solute metal in the form of a metallic oxide. The internally oxidized alloy is mechanically ground and the fine particles composed of the silver-metallic oxide which have ≥50RF hardness in the stage of grinding and about ≤0.5mm, more preferably about ≤0.1mm grain size, in which the metallic oxide having high hardness is uniformly precipitated and dispersed with the silver as a solute, and which are used for manufacturing a composite contact point material composed of the silver-metallic oxide having an excellent characteristic are obtd.
