Title:
FINE PARTICLE DETECTION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04174344
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable detection capacity of scattering light from a fine particle to be improved and achieve an accurate measurement by providing a glare- protection member which prevents scattering light of a projection system which becomes noise light from entering a light-receiving part.

CONSTITUTION: Light emitted from a laser light source 9 generates scattering light on a surface of a lens when it passes through a collimator lens 8. Also, it generates scattering light when it passes through a glass window 4. These scattering lights are attenuated and reflected on an inner surface of a center hole 2a of a first cylindrical member 2 and this operation is repeated near a tip part of a capillary shaped protrusion part 2. However, a wall part 2' at an upper-right side of the protrusion part 2b is constituted as a glare- protection member so that scattering light which is generated on a surface of the lens 8 or a glass surface of the glass window 4 and is further generated on an inner surface of the center hole 2a does not enter a light-collecting lens 18 directly. Therefore, scattering light at a projection system which becomes noise light is screened, thus enabling detection capacity of scattering light from a fine particle of a light-receiving part to be high and achieving measurement with improved accuracy.
