To provide a fine recessed part working device capable of forming fine recessed parts with excellent accuracy on a circumferential surface of a work.
The fine recessed part working device comprises a form roller 16 having a projecting part, a roller supporting member 14, a tool holder 10 to hold the roller supporting member 10, a compressive coil spring 13 as a roller pressing means, a spindle 3 to roll the form roller 16 along the circumferential surface, and a rotary encoder 23 to detect the rotational phase around the roller shaft of the form roller 16. The depth of the fine recessed parts is uniform even when the area of a tip of each projecting part is diversified by controlling the increase/decrease of the pressing load of the form roller 16 based on the area of the tip part of each projecting part of the form roller 16 and the rotational phase around the roller shaft 15 of the form roller 16 measured in advance.
