Abstract:
A nanoscale self-aggregate having a unique high order structure was obtained by preparing a nanoscale self-aggregate having an oligosaccharide in the saccharide chain. The present invention is a nanoscale self-aggregate comprising an O-glycoside type oligolipid having a structure represented by the general formula (1) shown below. (In the formula, G represents an oligosaccharide radical composed from two to thirty bonded monosaccharides, and R represents a hydrocarbon group containing six to twenty-five carbon atoms.) This nanoscale self-aggregate assumes the shape of micro double helical fiber shaped aggregates, micro helical disk shaped aggregates, nanoscale tubular aggregates and microfiber shaped aggregates.
