To obtain a foam control agent which bas a good storage stability by incorporating, into the same, a silicone antifoaming agent (A) and a zeolite carrier (B) on the surface of which a surfactant and a polycarboxylate-type binder are deposited in advance, the binder being acidified so that its aquous solution has a specified pH.
Ingredient A comprises a liquid organopolysiloxane polymer and a filler having the surface hydrophobized. Ingredient B is a zeolite carrier on the surface of which, based on ingredient A, 1-60 wt.% surfactant and 1-40 wt.% polycarboxylate-type binder are deposited in advance. The binder is, e.g. an acrylate/maleate polymer, has a mol.wt. of 9,000 or lower, and, when used, is acidified with, e.g. hydrochloric acid so that its 10% aqueous solution has a pH of 3 or lower. The wt. ratio of ingredient A to Ingredient B is (1/99)-(3/70).
