Abstract:
A fingerprint image input apparatus of this invention increase the degree of freedom of ar- rangement of LED chip and make it easier to illuminate the proper position of finger. Since the board having LED chip(3) is made of three dimensional circuit board(5), the ar- rangement position of LED chip(3) is not restricted by the shape or size of the board in comparison with two dimensional board of prior art. So the degree of freedom in arrangement of LED chip can be increased. Also, this invention makes it easier to mount the LED chip(3) so that the optical axis of the chip is inclined with respect to the optical axis of light-receiving surface of solid state imaging device(l) and to illuminate the proper position of finger. And it can be possible to set the relative position of solid image device(l), lens(2) and LED chip(3) with a high accuracy due to the three dimensional circuit board(5), and as a consequence, it can be possible to illuminate finger uniformly and the accuracy of fingerprint image input can be increased.
