Title:
FINGERPRINT READ SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2012168662
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a semiconductor fingerprint read device having a mechanism which determines whether a finger (analyte) is a living body with high precision when a fingerprint provided for identification is read, and automatically adjust collection conditions according to a state (a wet or dry condition, etc., of the finger) and then reads accurate unevenness of the fingerprint after the analyte is recognized as the finger.

An R sensor which detects an electric resistance value of the finger when the finger is placed on the fingerprint sensor device so as to collect the fingerprint, a C sensor which detects a capacitance value of the finger, and a ground part pairing with two pads thereof are arranged in a monolithic state. A resistance detection circuit attached to the R sensor measures an electric resistance value (RX) of the finger in contact, and a capacitance detection circuit attached to the C sensor measures a capacitance (CX) of the finger in contact. An area for determining whether the finger as the analyte is genuine or the state of the finger based upon the measured electric resistance value and capacitance is located not in a sensor area for actually reading the unevenness of the finger.
