PURPOSE: To save a labor in finishing work of a steel structure by providing a device pressing a grinding device so that each traveling wheel is brought close/far to/from the steel structure.
CONSTITUTION: As traveling wheels 9, 9, 10 are attracted to a steel structure 2, a traveling frame 3 is mounted in a such a position as sets a grinding wheel 18 of a grinding device 19 opposed to an objective part of finishing. Subsequently, an action instruction is outputted to the grinding device 19 from a controller 21, and then, the grinding wheel 18 in the grinder 19 is rotated, a fluid cylinder 17 is extended, a limit switch 20 is brought into contact with a dog 20a, and consequently, a rod is stopped at the predetermined length. Then, an action instruction is outputted to a traverse driving device 16 and travel driving devices 8, 8, and the travel driving devices 8, 8 are operated at the fixed speed until the given feed quantity is satisfied. The steel structure 2 is smoothly finished by means of the grinding wheel 18 arranged at the tip of the grinding device 19. After finishing work is completed, the traveling wheels 9, 9, 10 attracted to the steel structure 2 are separated from the steel structure 2.
