Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance the economy of tools by increasing the number of reprocessing with an appropriate regenerating means imparted to an end mill which is proved to be unusable due to use after it has been ground again.
CONSTITUTION: A tool main body 2 is turned out to be a cylindrical shank section 3 at the time of regeneration by processing the main body down to a circumferential surface less than a thick web circumferential one 4 by means of cylindrical grinding. As a result, a former shank section 3 is regenerated as a new tool main body 21 composed of a thick web circumferential surface 41 and a land section 51 by means of blade grinding.
