Title:
FINITE ELEMENT MODEL ALLOCATING METHOD AND ARRAY TYPE MULTI-PROCESSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02197951
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the overhead of the data communication by changing the nodal point numbers for the finite element models by means of the band width reduction and the evaluation function of a nodal point connection information matrix consisting of the inter-nodal point connection information and allocating the nodal point numbers to an array type multi-processor.

CONSTITUTION: The processors 41-44, a data communication means 5, etc., are prepared. A nodal point connection matrix is produced to show the presence or absence of connection of elements among the nodal points in a nodal point connection information matrix production step. In a band width reduction step and an initial allocation process using the grouping, the nodal point numbers are rearranged together with the matrix conversion through the reduction of the band width. Then a grouping job is performed in accordance with an array type multi-processor. In the final repetition improvement step using an evaluation function, the allocation of the grouped nodal points is changed to the processors so that the evaluation function is improved. As a result, the overhead is reduced for the data communication.
