To provide a versatile fire engine which is suitable for a purpose to use an air tool and also is used for extinguishing with foams.
A pump unit 1 to be mounted on the fire engine integrally includes: a pump 11 for a fluid to be operated by driving force of an engine 3; an air compressor 14 for compressing and discharging air; and a second power transmission mechanism 15 for transmitting/interrupting the driving force working on the pump 11 for the fluid with respect to the air compressor 14 by turning on/off an electromagnetic clutch. A controller 2 adjusts the pressure of the pump 11 for the fluid by controlling the number of revolutions of the engine 3 so as to satisfy a predetermined watering condition or adjusts the pressure of the air compressor 14 by controlling the number of revolutions of the engine 3 so as to satisfy a predetermined air compressing condition, on the basis of detection information from the first pressure sensor 16a and second pressure sensor 16b of the pump unit 1.
