To provide a fire extinguisher for sparks in a compact and simple configuration so that its mounting and demounting are easy and it can easily extinguish the sparks of dust containing the sparks with a capacity of dust suction force of a dust collector without applying load so much.

The fire extinguisher for sparks includes an armor shell 2 having a major cylindrical section 3 having a suction side nozzle 32a on a side that sucks the dust DUS containing sparks on one side and a tip cylindrical portion 4 in which its suction side cylindrical hole 42 is connected to a delivery side nozzle 33a of the major cylindrical section and its delivery side cylindrical hole 43 is connected to a suction duct port Dm of the dust DUS containing the sparks, a packing 8 that is disposed to partition the major cylindrical section 3 so as to traverse inside the same, and a water supply means 9 in which its supply water pipe 92 is introduced into the cylinder of the armor shell 1 and a spray nozzle 93 that jets spraying water 95 to the packing 8 is attached to the supply water pipe 92, and is configured such that the dust DUS containing the sparks that is sucked through the suction side nozzle 32a is extinguished in the region of the packing 8 by soaking the packing 8 with the spraying water 95 of the spray nozzle 93.
