This fire extinguisher 30 performs a fire extinction by discharging water or a fire extinguishing agent. The fire extinguisher 30 includes: a discharging section 32 which discharges water acquired from a water tank 10 which houses water being used for purposes other than the fire extinction on the outside of the fire extinguisher 30; a fire extinguishing agent tank 31 which houses the fire extinguishing agent; and a switching control section 34b which performs the switching control for switching the discharge object, which is discharged by the discharging section 32, to either the water acquired from the water tank 10 or the fire extinguishing agent acquired from the fire extinguishing agent tank 31.
