To extinguish a fire via a cooling effect by a fire extinguishing solution and a diluting effect to reduce the oxygen concentration via an increase of incombustible gas and increase fire extinguishing efficiency by spraying the fire extinguishing solution causing a chemical reaction under the effect of a fire phenomenon and generating the incombustible gas from a fire extinguishing nozzle.
When a fire sensor detects a fire, a plunger pump PP is driven, a fire extinguishing solution mixed with sodium bicarbonate and stored in a water tank WT is force-fed, and it is sprayed from a spray nozzle WN to form fine grain waterdrops WD. The sprayed fine grain waterdrops WD are the wet fog having the grain size of about 100μm, and they largely surround a combustion object FM while being spread in a room. The fine grain waterdrops WD are evaporated by the heat of the fire, a suflocating effect is increased by the generated steam, the combustion object FM is deprived of the evaporation latent heat, and the temperature of the combustion object FM is reduced. The fine grain waterdrops WD generate carbon dioxide as incombustible gas when they are evaporated by the heat of the fire to accelerate fire extinguishment.
