To provide a fire-extinguishing method for checking the spread of a fire on the surface of a structure such as a building and a house and efficiently extinguishing the fire, and also to provide a fire engine.
Water and bentonite are mixed and stirred in a fire extinguishing liquid preparation tank 12 to produce the fire extinguishing liquid. The liquid is once stored in a fire extinguishing liquid storage tank 13, forcibly fed from the storage tank 13 to a building 14 on fire by using the fire extinguishing liquid pump 22 and the fire extinguishing liquid force-feeding hose 23, and then sprayed over the surface 15 of the building 14. The fire engine 100 has: a vehicle body 10; the fire extinguishing liquid preparation tank 12 which is loaded on the upper part of the vehicle body and which, on the inside of which a mixing device 11 is provided, and which is capable of making the fire extinguishing liquid by mixing and stirring the water and the bentonite; the fire extinguishing liquid storage tank 13 which is loaded on the upper part of the vehicle body and capable of storing the fire extinguishing liquid supplied from the fire extinguishing liquid preparation tank; and the fire extinguishing liquid pumping device 16 which can force-feed the fire extinguishing liquid inside the fire extinguishing liquid storage tank to the surface of the building.
