A smoking-fire extinguishing device 16 is provided inside a storage container lid 12 of an electric storage device 10 that alignedly stores a plurality of electric cells 26 in a storage container. The smoking-fire extinguishing device 16 has a heat detection cable 32 functioned as a fire detection part is drawn and laid in the storage container. When the heat detection cable 32 receives heat by a fire and detects short circuit of a pair of signal lines due to melting of insulation coating, or an ignition control signal is input from the outside, an ignition circuit section energizes and heats a heater to ignite and burn a solid fire-extinguishing agent and to jet fire-extinguishing aerosol to the inside of the storage container and extinguish the fire.
