Abstract:
PURPOSE: To effectively sprinkle a fire extinguisher toward the source of a fire from the nozzle of a fire-extinguishing traveling vehicle by providing a sensor by which an area for fire extinction is spotted for fire monitoring, and placing on a track the traveling vehicle which can travel to near the area where a fire has occurred according to a detection signal of the sensor. CONSTITUTION: When a fire sensor S spots the source of a fire, a control board Re receives a fire signal from the sensor S and transmits a control-signal electric wave from an antenna ANT to a fire-extinguishing traveling vehicle T on a track K. On receiving the electric wave, the traveling vehicle T travels on the track K and stops in the monitoring area of the fire sensor S operated, i.e., near the source of the fire. At this stopping position the fire extinguisher intake of the traveling vehicle T is connected to the water supply hole of an initially installed fire extinguisher feed pipe, and a nozzle 3 provided in the traveling vehicle T is directed to the source of the fire, in which state a fire extinguisher is ejected from the nozzle 3 toward the source of the fire.
