PURPOSE: To permit effective fire-extinguishing operations even at a distant place and also even when water pressure is low by a method in which a pump to be operated by a motor is set in a fire-extinguishing stopper connected to the main water tube and the discharge pressure of water at the water drain port is increased.
CONSTITUTION: A pump 9 to be operated by a motor 7 is set in a fire- extinguishing stopper 6 connected to the main water tube 1. When water pressure is low and also when the fire outbreak point is far, the pump 9 is operated to raise the discharge pressure or water from a water drain port 9a. When the conventional hydrant 5 used together, the water drain device is set through a three-way valve 4, and water is drained without pressure rise by operation of the valve 4 or by using both devices. Early-stage fire extinguishing effect can thus be performed effectively and surely.
