Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a system which can construct an efficient online transaction processing system in a computer adopting a virtual storage system. CONSTITUTION:The system is composed of CPU 1, a main memory 2 and an auxiliary storage device 3. The main memory 2 is divided into an OS core part 2-1, a management table part 2-2 and a work area 2-3. A program list 2-2-1 to which a program name which does not use a page file is registered, the queue 2-2-2 of a program waiting for starting and the number of the programs 12-2-3 which can simultaneously be operated are prepared for the management table part 2-2. In a work area 2-3, the program segmented by a maximum memory allocation amount 2-3-4 is loaded from an application program file 3-1 and is executed. The application program file 3-1 and a page file 3-2 are prepared for the auxiliary storage device 3.
