Title:
FIRE HYDRANT WITH AIR VALVE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003253707
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a compact, low-height fire hydrant.

The fire hydrant with an air valve is attached to a rising pipe 56 through a ball valve type repair valve 25 from a water supply pipe line 55 laid in a pit buried underground. The side of the valve case 1A of an air valve is widened flat sideways. By this way, a flow passage 3 to a screw type hydrant 2 is formed. An inflow opening 4 is formed in the upper wall of the stream passage 3. The mounting position of the fire hydrant 2 is made lower than conventional cases by making the widened part of the body of the air valve flat and further, the fire hydrant is made low in the height and in a screw type to provide the low-height fire hydrant with an air valve which is usable for a water supply pipe line buried shallow underground. In the fire hydrant, prevention of spraying in slight opening can be realized by securing safety in water discharge and securing air tightness. Further, the pit buried underground can be made small by reducing size and making the hydrant low.
