Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire hydrant which of a smaller housing box can accommodate by making the shape of the cross section of a hose roughly oval while it is not pressurized to reduce the diameter when it is wound.
SOLUTION: This fire hydrant comprises a housing box 3 having an opening part 4 on the front thereof, a hose winding reel 7 which is provided inside the housing box 3 to be projectable forward from the opening part 4 and a fire hose 8 which is wound on the hose winding reel 7 with the inside of the winding connected to a water supply source and has a nozzle 11 on the outside of the winding. The fire hose 8 is made roughly oval in the shape of the cross section thereof with no pressurization inside the hose and preformed spiral in the axial direction thereof.
