To start operation after a fire detector senses a fire, to prolong the life of a scanning type fire detector, and to reduce the electric power consumption by providing a control panel in which an analyzing circuit for specifying the fire position based on the fire position information from the scanning type fire detector is incorporated.
Only the fire detector 2 is normally in a monitoring state and the scanning type fire detector 2 is OFF. When fire detectors 2A and 2C sense a fire for 'fire point', their signals are sent to the control panel. The analyzing circuit of the control panel analyzes the inputted signals and sends a scan start instruction and information on a scanning range to a necessary scanning type fire detector 3. The scanning type fire detector having received the scanning start instruction and information on the scanning range enters an operating state to start scanning a fire in the range according to the scanning range information and sends fire position information to the control panel when detecting a fire. When the fire position information is sent to the control part, the control panel analyzes the information to specify the fire position in detail.
