Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit an incombustible expansive material to perfectly close a ventilation air passage at the time of fire, and then to prevent flame from intruding inside the ventilation air passage by incorporating the incombustible expansive material expanded by heat into the ventilation air passage which leads to the indoor and the outdoor of a ventilation ridge.
SOLUTION: The incombustible expansive material expanded by heat is fixed to the ventilation air passage 8 which is formed by a lower part frame 6 and an upper part frame 7. When passage hot blow temp. becomes the fixed one, the incombustible expansive material 10 is expanded to be about ten times big so perfectly close the ventilation air passage 8. Therefore, when fire occurs inside or outside of a building and hot blow being more than about 150°C starts to invade inside the ventilation air passage 8, the incombustible expansive material 10 is expanded so as to perfectly close the passage 8 in a short time. Thus, it is prevented hot blow and flame from passing through the passage 8, intruding inside an attic space 4 and, on the contrary, intruding from the attic space 4 side to an outdoor direction.
