To provide a fire pump system which can steadily and effectively work under unfavorable conditions when a disaster occurs.
The fire pump system includes a motor-driven pump 10 for feeding water, a plurality of discharging means 50 mounted at the discharge side of the pump 10, a pressure detector 72 mounted at the discharge side of the pump 10, an inverter 30 for controlling the rotation speed of an electric motor 18 of the pump 10, and a controller 40 for controlling the inverter 30 in order that the discharge pressure of the pump 10 reaches a predetermined value based on an output value of the pressure detector 72. Further, the pump 10 is automatically restarted based on a signal stored on a semiconductor storage system when recovering from a power cut.
