To provide a fire-resistant pillar which can secure sufficient fire-resistant performance even when a pillar is coated with a thin fire-resistant material, which is light weight and compact, and which is under little influence of unevenness of work, and to provide a unit building using it.
The fire-resistant pillar 1 is constituted by applying fire-resistant coating to the outer periphery of a pillar 2 by the fire-resistant material which is provided with at least an exterior wall material 3 and a fire-resistant board 4. The exterior wall material 3 is constituted by laminating a steel plate 3a as a metal plate and a gypsum board 3b as an incombustible material. The fire-resistant board 4 is constituted by laminating a gypsum board 4a and a heating expansion sheet 4b. It is desirable that another heating expansion sheet 10 should be provided inside of the exterior wall material 3 and the fire-resistant board 4 along these fire-resistant materials partially or in the total circumference.
