Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-halogen fire resisting electric wire which can maintain excellent fire resisting performance and has high flame resistance capable of passing a vertical tray flame resistance test stipulated by IEEE 383.
SOLUTION: In a fire resisting electric wire where a fire resisting layer using mica as a main material and an insulating layer are arranged in order on a conductor and a sheath is arranged outside of them, the insulating layer is formed of an ethylene resin composition by blending a metallic hydroxide by 50 to 150 pts.wt. to ethylene resin 100 pts.wt. This sheath is formed of an ethylene resin composition whose ignition point is not less than 420°C in a test stipulated by ASTMD 1929.
