Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide fire retardant BMC which can be formed into a BMC molded item which has fire retardant property corresponding to fire retardant class 2 of fire retardant property test specified by JIS A1321 and also corresponding to a standard of quasi-noncombustible material by gas harmful property test of notice No.l31, 1976, the Ministry of Construction.
CONSTITUTION: BMC comprises, as principal compositions, 12-18wt.% of unsaturated polyester resin, 60-81wt.% of inorganic filler having hydroxyl group, and at least 1-10wt.% of two kinds of fire retardant agents, wherein one of the fire retardant agents is halogen-based fire retardant agent and the other is phosphorus-based agent.
