Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lightweight fire retardant pile cloth, having a sufficient tensile strength, excellent in cigarette resistance and wear resistance, capable of accelerating carbonization thereof, and useful for a sheet for a seat, etc., by forming a backing layer at the reverse surface of a base texture which is provided with a specific pile layer.
SOLUTION: This fire retardant pile cloth is obtained by forming a backing layer in the reverse surface of a base texture constituted by a base yarn consisting of a mixed spun yarn of 50-90wt.% polyester fiber and 50-10wt.% infusible fiber such as a rayon fiber and a cotton fiber, which is provided with a pile layer constituted by a pile yarn consisting of a mixed spun yarn of 1-30wt.% aramide fiber and 99-70wt.% one kind or two kinds selected from a nylon fiber or a polyester fiber. Further, a mixing ratio in the spinning of aramide fiber in the pile yarn is preferably 1.5-10wt.%.
