Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect fire spreading to an upper or lower floor, smoke damages or the like by blocking emissions from a firing area at the area between a upper and a lower floor areas when a fire is broken in a high building or the like.
SOLUTION: Movable roof boards 22 and 23 are slidably fixed on a fixed roof board 21, which is placed near the boundary position between the separated areas of upper and lower floors of a building. A roof-supporting arm 30, which is fixed on an outer wall of a building on its base terminal, extends in the direction of the extension of the movable roof boards 22 and 23, and can be horizontally bent and turned, is hooked with the movable roof board 23. An energizing means that always energizes the roof-supporting arm 30 in the direction of the extension is fixed on this apparatus as well as a lock means that locks the roof-supporting arm 30 an its bent position against the energizing means to hold the movable roof boards 22 and 23 in their shortened states and detects a fire emergency to release the lock.
