Title:
FIREPROOF TAPE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09176579
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain a fireproof tape, having flame retardance capable of providing a residue after combustion having a sufficient shape retaining ability and thereby manifesting remarkable fire-resistant performances.

This fireproof tape is obtained by forming an adhesive layer on one or both surfaces of a substrate layer. The substrate layer comprises a phosphorus compound, a thermally expandable graphite undergoing the neutralization treatment and an inorganic filter in an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer with 10-50wt.% content of the vinyl acetate. The contents of the respective components based on 100 pts.wt. ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer is 20-200 pts.wt. sum total of the phosphorus compound and the thermally expandable graphite undergoing the neutralization treatment, 50-500 pts.wt. inorganic filler at (9:1) to (1:9) weight ratio of the thermally expandable graphite undergoing the neutralization treatment : phosphorus compound.
